Austrian skier Michaela Dorfmeister's super-G win
Austria's Michaela Dorfmeister
extended her lead in the super-G standings by a victory in the latest
race in Val d'Isere on Sunday. Michaela Dorfmeister clocked a time of
one minute, 17.59 seconds to claim her first win of the season.
Fellow Austrian Alexandra Meissnitzer was second, just 0.49 seconds behind, while Canadian Emily Brydon was third.
Defending overall World Cup champion Anja Paerson was 13th while Britain's Chemmy Alcott finished in 17th.
Michaela Dorfmeister's win came just 24 hours after she finished eighth in the downhill in the same resort.
The 32-year-old skier had criticised organisers for going ahead with
the downhill on Saturday in poor weather but for the super-G conditions
were perfect.
"This is a measure of revenge after what happened on Saturday," she
said. "There were no snowfalls, no wind - so it was a fair race.
"At least we could get back to proper skiing. I did pretty well. It felt very easy."
