Tennis stars Ivan Ljubicic and Ivo Karlovic pull out
Croatian tennis stars Ivan Ljubicic and Ivo Karlovic have both withdrawn from taking part in the Olympics in Beijing.
Ljubicic, who is a former world number three but who has dropped down to 51 in the rankings, has given a non-specified injury as his reason, whilst Karlovic, who is the world number 18, pulled out on Friday after he became ill with a high temperature.
Ljubicic has been replaced by Devon Mullings from the Bahamas and who will now face Argentina's Agustin Calleri in the first round.
And Karlovic's place has gone to Chinese player Yu Xin Yuan, who will be playing against Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic.
Croatia have been hit badly by the withdrawals of these two players having already lost Mario Ancic, who earlier this month cancelled his part in the event due to illness.
Marin Cilic is now the only remaining hope for Croatia in the men's tennis events at the Olympics, which start on Sunday 10 August.
