Icelander Eggert Magnusson in London 2012 Olympic stadium talks West Ham's chairman-elect and Icelandic businessman Eggert Magnusson has been having talks with leaders of London's 2012 Olympic campaign regarding a potential move to the Olympic stadium.
On Wednesday Eggert Magnusson met with Olympics minister Tessa Jowell and London mayor Ken Livingstone as well as senior Games officials for "a constructive meeting".
"We will look at all the options to move forward," a spokesman for Eggert Magnusson said.
Eggert Magnusson has already said it is his "dream" to relocate the club to the Olympic venue.
The conditions of London's successful Olympic bid stated that there is a 25,000-seater athletics legacy at the stadium after the Games have finished but Eggert Magnusson has agreed to this and thinks the retractable seating used at the Stade de France in Paris shows how combining football and athletics in one venue can be a successful venture.
"It was agreed that the ball was in West Ham's court," said a spokesperson for Olympic minister Tessa Jowell, and added: "They would reflect on the discussion and decide how they wished to proceed."
