George Clooney talks to Olympic sponsors over China's policies
Hollywood film star George Clooney has been talking to Omega Watches who are one of the main Olympic Games sponsors in an effort to make a statement against China's foreign policy.
George Clooney is one of many people who see China's role in the Darfur crisis in Sudan as wrong but he also advertises Omega Watches, who happen to be a main sponsor for Beijing 2008 and the company has been the official timekeeper for every Olympic Games held since 1932.
46-year-old actor George Clooney is reported to have said: "I have talked with Omega (about China) for over a year and will continue to talk to Omega."
George Clooney's involvement in making a political statement and campaign follows American director Steven Spielberg who also decided to pull out as an artistic adviser to the Olympic Games in protest at the Darfur crisis.
China has been heavily condemned for its trade and military links with the Sudanese Government.
