Badminton players Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms lose in finals
Olympic mixed doubles silver medallists Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms
both had to make do with second best again as they lost in the Hong
Kong Open final.
The English players, who beat their Olympic conquerors Zhang Jun and
Gao Ling in the semi-finals, lost 15-8 15-5 to China's Xie Zhongbo and
Zhang Yawen.
Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms have not won a title since back-to-back wins at the All England and Swiss Open in March.
They now head to this week's China Open before the All England in January.
The two singles finals were all-Chinese affairs.
In the women's final, Olympic champion Zhang Ning beating Xie Xingfang 11-4 1-11 11-6.
Men's world number one Lin Dan beat Ban Chunlai 15-10 15-4 in their final.
