Korean National Sports Festival has started About
18,000 athletes from Korea and another 15 foreign nations will compete
at the 86th National Sports Festival, which started on October 13th in
Ulsan. The festival has the catchphrase of "Together in Ulsan, Farther
to the World."
It all began with the opening ceremony held at
6 p.m. at Ulsan Stadium, and the festival will go on for a full week.
The National Sports Festival includes 40 competitive events, and one
exhibition event of squash.
This
year for the first time ever, doping tests will be conducted upon a
total of 340 athletes in 37 sports. The Korea Sports Council will run
various promotional activities on the history and major activities of
the sports-governing organization while the festival is running.
