Former Paralympic swimmer Jody Cundy breaks records
Former Paralympic swimmer Jody Cundy broke records in Manchester with record form at the National Senior and Disability Track Championships.
Jody Cundy, who had left swimming for track cycling in July, broke two world records on his way to gold medals in the LC1 1,000m and 200m time trials.
Jody Cundy was participating in multi-disability classes, where the nearest to the world record for their classification wins.
Paralympic star Darren Kenny broke the CP3 world record to take 200m bronze and tandem duo Anthony Kappes and Barney Storey finished just outside the visually impaired world record for 1,000m silver, while Aileen McGlynn and Ellen Hunter won bronze medals.
Anthony Kappes and Barney Storey also broke the VI world record in the 200m by winning their second silver of the championships.
The event was held at the Manchester Velodrome from 3-7 October.
