Esther Vergeer & Shingo Kunieda in UK Wheelchair Tennis Open
World number ones Esther Vergeer from Holland along with Shingo Kunieda of Japan head the line-up for this week's British Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships in Nottingham.
Esther Vergeer and Shingo Kunieda are among 140 players from 22 nations who are competing in the event.
The contestants will be hoping to gain ranking points as they aim for next year's Beijing Paralympics.
Shingo Kunieda hopes to add to his wins at both the Australian and Japan Opens earlier this year, and he starts against world number 57 Mike Denayer of Belgium.
In the women's singles, Esther Vergeer aims to continue her long undefeated run which goes all the way back to February 2003.
Esther Vergeer will be facing the winner of the all-British tie between Anna Tarkowski and Debbie Thomas.
However, world number one Peter Norfolk will not have the chance of defending his quad singles title because of a shoulder injury.
