Disabled sprinter Oscar Pistorius awaits his Olympics appeal
Double amputee South African sprinter Oscar Pistorius is currently waiting to find out if he will be allowed to take part in the Olympic Games and he will find out at the end of this month.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will be issuing their decision on Oscar Pistorius' case on 29 and 30 April.
In January, it had been ruled that Oscar Pistorius would not be allowed to race in able-bodied events because his artificial limbs gave him a potentially unfair advantage.
But Oscar Pistorius, 21, disagrees with this and has been having tests in America in a bid to prove his case and gain approval to compete in the Olympics.
Oscar Pistorius explained: "I am very appreciative of CAS for setting a schedule that will allow a decision in time for me to pursue my goal of qualifying for the Olympics."
And Oscar Pistorius added: "This case is important not just to me, but to all disabled persons who just ask for the chance to compete fairly on the sporting field with able-bodied athletes."
