David Beckham has upset fans says US Soccer Federation boss

david beckhamSunil Gulati, the president of the United States Soccer Federation, thinks that David Beckham can expect hostile reactions from football fans when he makes his comeback to LA Galaxy.

Bloomberg reported that Gulati said that the deal that allowed Beckham to spend five months at AC Milan has disappointed a number of Major League Soccer (MLS) fans.

34-year-old Beckham is due to be playing for LA Galaxy against the New York Red Bulls on 16 July.

LA Galaxy have had less people attending their games since Beckham joined the Italian team.

The deal that Beckham was under was originally a loan and planned to cover the American off-season, however, an extension taking it to July and a £6.8m compensation package was agreed upon by the American and Italian clubs.

Beckham is speculated to have personally contributed to the payment to make sure he could stay in Italy.
