Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon hopes Fabio Capello will return New Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon is hoping Fabio Capello will be returning to the Spanish team as coach from Juventus by the end of the week.
Fabio Capello, 60, has claimed two straight titles at Juventus, but the Italian club is involved in a match-fixing investigation.
"He has gone to Turin to resolve his contractual situation with Juventus," Ramon Calderon said about Fabio Capello, who led Real Madrid to the Spanish championship in 1997.
"He will be here in the next few days to begin his new work."
Ramon Calderon made a pledge during his campaign that he would bring Fabio Capello back to the Bernabeu this summer.
Ramon Calderon was elected following a controversial vote on Sunday, in which postal votes were discounted.
Ramon Calderon also hopes to bring in several new players, including Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas and Chelsea's Arjen Robben, as well as Brazilian star Kaka from AC Milan.
