Brazil captain Cafu could face prison on passport charge
Brazil captain Cafu could receive a prison sentence if he is found guilty of falsely obtaining a passport, in a court case due to finish this week.
AC Milan star Cafu is one of several players charged in Italy, after an investigation going back to 2001.
The case centres around allegations that foreign players applied for Italian passports to escape a limit on overseas numbers.
Cafu, who is currently in the Brazilian World Cup squad, would be more likely to get a suspended jail term if convicted.
Cafu told the Journal do Brasilian newspaper: "I am not going to speak at this time because officially I know nothing about it.
"It's something that has been published in the press and I have to wait and see what the situation is.
"I cannot comment on each story that comes out regarding myself otherwise I wouldn't be able to be here with the national team."
