Manchester United's Wayne Rooney not worried
Manchester United football star Wayne Rooney says he isn't worried about his past poor record for scoring goals for England even though the team's World Cup qualifier against Croatia is coming up on Wednesday.
Rooney has scored only five times for England in all of four years but he is reported to have claimed: "I've no problem with it. It's a new campaign, a new start and hopefully we can do well."
Rooney contributes much more to a football match besides the scoring of goals and he recently showed this by assisting Joe Cole's second goal at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona on the weekend just gone.
Frank Lampard, who plays as midfielder, thinks that Rooney is right not to be concerned about his recent poor showing when it comes to international goals.
Wayne Rooney says that he is far more concerned about a good performance by his team rather than his own goal scoring abilities.
