Liverpool's Peter Crouch set to transfer to Portsmouth
Liverpool footballer Peter Crouch has been confirming a transfer deal with Portsmouth and will have finished everything he needs to do to join them if he passes a medical within the next 48 hours.
It is speculated that the 27-year-old striker is being sold to Portsmouth for around £11m.
Crouch is going back to Portsmouth six years after leaving the club, and will have Harry Redknapp as his manager for the third time in his football career.
Peter Crouch is to be teamed up with Jermain Defoe for the new attack line up for next season.
Liverpool are said to be initially getting £9m for Crouch, who joined the side from Southampton in July 2005 but only started nine Premier League games in the last season of play
In his time with Liverpool, Crouch has scored 40 goals in 135 appearances but he has had problems keeping a regular first-team place in his recent career.
Peter Crouch began as a trainee at Tottenham before he moved to QPR, Portsmouth, Aston Villa, Norwich, Southampton and then finally to his last club, Liverpool.
