Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson declared fit
Welsh rugby player and boyfriend of pop singer Charlotte Church, Gavin Henson, has been declared fit for selection during Wales' forthcoming tour to Australia.
Ospreys coach Lyn Jones said, referring to the fact that Gavin Henson didn't play in the Ospreys' Magners League title decider: "Gavin is looking forward to the tour, he just needed an extra week off. He'll be fit for selection in Australia."
Gavin Henson, 25, has not played rugby since a knee injury surfaced again in January and in view of this Lyn Jones commented: "Everybody would have been happier if Gavin had played a few games before he went on tour."
And Wales rugby coach Gareth Jenkins is backing Gavin Henson to get back to the form that he displayed so impressively in Wales' 2005 Grand Slam year.
"His task now is to get himself 100% right in the time available and show us in training that he is back up to his own high standards," Gareth Jenkins said.
