Saracens and France rugby star Thomas Castaignede to retire
Saracens and France international rugby star Thomas Castaignede has said he will be retiring from sport after the World Cup in September.
"It's something I've been thinking hard about but this just feels like the right time," Thomas Castaignede is reported to have said on the Saracens website.
Thomas Castaignede added: "This year didn't end with the result I would have liked but I'll look back on my time at the club very fondly."
Thomas Castaignede joined the Saracens from Castres seven years back.
Thomas Castaignede went on to score 131 in just seven games but then went down with an Achilles injury, which kept him away from sporting action for 18 months.
Thomas Castaignede wants to pursue a career in banking after his retires but before that he wanst to end his career in style and he told French newspaper L'Equipe: "I want to finish off my career with a World Cup in France."
