Rugby player Sitiveni Sivivatu stays with All Blacks
New Zealand rugby player Sitiveni Sivivatu, who is a wing for the All Blacks, has rejected a big offer of a deal from overseas because he wants to stay on with the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) for another two years.
Fiji-born, Sitiveni Sivivatu, 25, wants to remain in New Zealand although other All Blacks players are moving elsewhere after the World Cup is over - All Blacks prop Carl Hayman is the latest All Black player who says he is moving on like this.
However, Sitiveni Sivivatu said: "There were some big offers from overseas,
"But I'm proud to wear the All Blacks' jersey and to be part of the New Zealand rugby family."
Steve Tew, who is deputy chief executive from the NZRU said: "Sitiveni is a great talent and his decision demonstrates his commitment to New Zealand rugby.
"It also highlights the value of the black jersey."
