Rugby player Simon Webster's injury rules him out of Italian clash
Rugby player Simon Webster will not be able to take part in Scotland's Six Nations clash against Italy due to his injured ankle, which he suffered during Edinburgh's Magners League defeat by Leinster on Friday.
Born in Hartlepool, and turning professional rugby union player in 2000, Simon Webster plays for Scotland and Edinburgh as a winger, had come on as a replacement in the recent win against Wales.
But now Simon Webster needs to recover in time for the home match against Ireland on 10 March.
Referring to the Six Nations clash and how Simon Webster will now miss out on it, coach Frank Hadden said: "Nobody will be more disappointed than Simon because he was relishing the opportunity to get game time."
Simon Webster had only played against Leinster because he was short of match practice after having been away from the action due to an injury to his other ankle.
