Rugby player David Humphreys injured in defeat by Leinster
Ulster rugby player David Humphreys will be away from sport until February after an injury to his left arm he sustained in the defeat by Leinster.
Although there were no breaks in the arm, an MRI scan on Tuesday revealed extensive ligament damage to the elbow and upper arm and it is expected that David Humphreys will now miss the Magners League trips to Glasgow this weekend as well as Swansea on 27 January.
And David Humphreys looks sure to miss the remaining Heineken Cup games against the Llanelli Scarlets and Toulouse.
Ulster are set to play against the Llanelli Scarlets at Ravenhill on 13 January with the trip to Toulouse the Sunday after.
Ulster coach Mark McCall is going to continue with Paddy Wallace at fly-half and Adam Larkin is likely to be called into the replacements.
Paddy Wallace came on to replace David Humphreys after only six minutes during the 20-13 defeat by Leinster last Sunday and played very well indeed.
