Rugby coach Shaun Edwards considers his options
Rugby coach Shaun Edwards has been considering his options and hopes to know where his future career lies by the New Year following discussions with both Wales and England.
Shaun Edwards who is currently head coach for the London Wasps, is aware that he needs international experience to achieve his goal of working with the Lions on their tour to South Africa in 2009.
The Guardian newspaper reported Shaun Edwards as having said: "Is it Wales or England Saxons? Or is it neither? If Wasps don't give their blessing I won't be going anywhere."
Shaun Edwards, 41, said the new Wales coach Warren Gatland, with whom he won the Heineken Cup and three Guinness Premiership titles at London Wasps, has offered him a position, and it is believed to be that of assistant coach.
Shaun Edwards had also met the Rugby Football Union's head of elite coach development Kevin Bowring midweek, to discuss the possibility of being coach for the Saxons.
