New Zealand rugby coach Graham Henry applies for job again
New Zealand rugby coach Graham Henry has applied for his job again after the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) made the post available after a disappointing result in the World Cup.
New Zealand were defeated in the quarter-finals, however, Graham Henry, 61, is sure they can learn from this and use the experience to better their performance in future matches.
And of his own worth to the team Graham Henry said: "I believe I can add further value. I'm passionate about coaching and this team."
Graham Henry added: "I believe we can develop into an even stronger team in the future."
Graham Henry reapplied for his job as coach after the NZRU turned down a proposal to appoint his coaching team again. His assistants in this team included Steve Hansen and Wayne Smith.
Wayne Smith said: "We're all gutted by the World Cup result especially after the success the team had in the four years before that."
New Zealand have been victorious in 42 out of 48 matches under Graham Henry's guidance.
