Munster rugby star Christian Cullen retires
Rugby player Christian Cullen, who has been playing for Munster, has announced his retirement from the sport.
Christian Cullen, 31, who saw his last game as a player for Munster last month, has cited injury problems as the main reason for quitting rugby.
Christian Cullen explained: "I've hung up the boots for good," and added: "My mind is fresh and feels like I could sign another four-year deal.
"But there comes a time when you have to be a realist and I know my body has had enough. I can't remember the last time my ankles and knees didn't ache."
Christian Cullen joined Munster four years ago and scored 14 tries for the team, although he has only played 44 matches due to injury.
Christian Cullen said: "So, in the end, it's an easy decision to retire. I will miss a lot of things about the game but I can't sign a new deal knowing my body has had it."
