Jonah Lomu's return to top-flight rugby could be delayed
Jonah Lomu's return to the action in top-flight rugby could be delayed because he is not likely to get a contract in the Super 14 for next season, reports say.
The New Zealand Herald reported that Jonah Lomu, 31, has been omitted from a list of players monitored by New Zealand's five Super 14 franchises.
Jonah Lomu has been playing for North Harbour but has started only one match and has yet to score a try.
Jonah Lomu made his return to rugby in 2004 after he received a kidney transplant, however, he has sustained a lot of injuries since then including hurting his shoulder in Martin Johnson's testimonial match in June last year.
Jonah Lomu, who became world famous with incredible displays in the 1995 World Cup, joined Cardiff Blues last September but he then unfortunately broke his ankle in April.
After that he signed for North Harbour in the National Provincial Championship but has mainly only made brief appearances from the bench.
