Irish rugby player Brian Carney considers a comeback
Former Irish professional rugby league player Brian Carney, who was at one time a winger for Wigan, says he might make a comeback to the sport after he has sorted out outstanding issues with his former club the Gold Coast Titans.
Born in Cork, Ireland, Brian Carney has made a career for himself as a winger but on 16 January 2007 he announced his retirement from rugby to spend more time with his family and to finish his masters degree.
However, referring to his contract with Gold Coast Titans he is reported to have told Sky Sports: "It wouldn't be right for me to comment until I've got that sorted out. I said when I finished that I'd not fallen out with the game."
And Brian Carney added: "There were other reasons for me going. I probably do want to play again."
Brian Carney was released from his contract with Gold Coast Titans on Monday.
