Ilivasi Tabua to be new rugby coach for Fiji
Former Fiji's assistant coach and the union's High Performance Unit coach, Ilivasi Tabua has been made new the head coach for the Fiji rugby union team.
Ilivasi Tabua, 42, will be replacing Wayne Pivac, who left the post last week to change to the new job of North Harbour's coach in New Zealand.
Ilivasi Tabua has experience as a rugby coach in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
"Rugby's a running game and that's what we're good at so obviously I'll work on improving this aspect," Ilivasi Tabua said.
"I think Fiji's in a strong position and I believe it doesn't matter who's head coach," Ilivasi Tabua added.
Ilivasi Tabua, who was nicknamed the "human skewer" when he used to be a rugby player because of his tackling style, had played 11 Tests for Australia before moving to his native Fiji.
