France rugby star Frederic Michalak injured
French rugby star Frederic Michalak could miss out on the Six Nations after rupturing an interior ligament in his right knee.
Fly-half Frederic Michalak, who had only just returned from two months away from the sport, suffered the injury in Toulouse's domestic league victory over Bourgoin on Friday.
Frederic Michalak, who must now decide whether he should have an operation on his knee or not, is likely to be away from the action for three or four months and France captain Fabien Pelous will miss Saturday's Test against New Zealand due to a rib injury.
Fabien Pelous, 32, who would have earned a record-equalling 111th French cap in the Stade de France game, was injured in Saturday's 47-3 defeat to the All Blacks and will be replaced in the squad by uncapped Clermont Auvergne player Loic Jacquet. Raphael Ibanez is set to take over as captain.
