English rugby player Jonny Wilkinson still not fit
English rugby union player Jonny Wilkinson won't be playing in England's final RBS Six Nations match against Wales in Cardiff on Saturday because he has still not recovered sufficiently from a hamstring injury that he sustained playing for Newcastle.
The hamstring problem means that Jonny Wilkinson has unfortunately missed all of 32 of England's 35 Test matches since they won the World Cup in 2003, and he won't be able to show if he has recovered enough to play again for England until the two Tests in South Africa in May.
Jonny Wilkinson only managed to show he was fit enough for his most recent game for England at the last moment, and he then went on to injure his hamstring not long after when playing for Newcastle against London Irish.
Nick Easter is now also looking very doubtful after he missed training due to a neck injury and Phil Vickery and Mike Tindall have already been ruled out of playing because of respective concussion and a knee injury problem.
