England rugby player Jason Robinson announces retirement
Rugby player Jason Robinson, who has been a winger for England and Sale, will be retiring from the sport at the end of the season and he says the club's delay in offering him a new contract is part of the reason.
Jason Robinson, 32, will retire altogether from rugby after the World Cup.
Jason Robinson explained: "Last October the coaches said they really wanted to sign me and somebody would give me a call.
"It was about three months after that when somebody said they wanted to talk to me. By then I'd made my mind up."
Jason Robinson, who has three children, also said that he wanted to spend more time with his family:
"There is actually a life away from rugby. My family are the main things. I cannot see for one minute me looking back and wishing I'd played another year."
Jason Robinson added that he was not leaving the club on bad terms and also explained that he had no desire to become a rugby coach.
"I couldn't think of anything worse," Jason Robinson said.
