Bradford Bulls rugby centre Shontayne Hape injured
Bradford Bulls centre Shontayne Hape has seriously injured his knee and will be away from the action for the rest of the season.
Shontayne Hape, 25, is reported to have ruptured cruciate ligaments in his left knee on Saturday and will be unable to play for at least six months, and may well have to miss this autumn's Test Series against Great Britain.
Bradford Bulls manager Steve McNamara said: "It's possible he could be back if we get to the play-offs but it's five to six months at least,"
"We're really, really disappointed to lose him like this - he's obviously choked and cut up."
Shontayne Hape had been the leading scorer for the Bradford Bulls and had scored 78 tries in 114 games since he came to the Bradford Bulls from the Auckland Warriors in 2003.
Shontayne Hape has suffered knee problems in the past and this is the latest to spoil his very impressive career.
