Australian rugby star Bill Young likely to retire
Australian prop Bill Young says he is very likely retiring from rugby due to a long-term neck injury.
Bill Young, 32, played for most of the season with the problem but he has been experiencing numbness in his left arm.
"At this stage, it's probably highly unlikely I'll play again," Bill Young told the Canberra Times newspaper.
"I've got problems that need fixing in my neck and if I don't then I could end up with some permanent disability in my left hand."
Bill Young has won 46 caps and is just behind Ewen McKenzie in the list of most-capped Wallaby props.
"I'm just weighing up my options and I'll wait until I talk with the ARU (Australian Rugby Union) before I make any final decision," added Bill Young.
"The doctors are obviously very cautious and very concerned about my health," Bill Young said.
Bill Young had made his international rugby debut against France in November 2000 and last played for Australia in the 34-24 defeat to New Zealand in September 2005.
