All Blacks legendary former rugby player Zinzan Brooke is in a serious condition in a hospital in Spain after injuring his head in a fall getting out of a taxi in the town of Elche.
Zinzan Brooke, who won 58 caps in his incredible rugby union career, has had an operation to stop pressure on his brain, it has been reported.
Zinzan Brooke's wife Ally is at the hospital with him, and his brother Robin Brooke explained on New Zealand television that the injury was "serious but not life-threatening".
Zinzan Brooke, born in Waiuku, New Zealand played most of his rugby career at number eight and had been considered possibly the best player in the world.
