West Indies cricket captain Ramnaresh Sarwan injured
West Indies cricket captain Ramnaresh Sarwan says he may have to miss the rest of the tour of England after injuring his shoulder in the Headingley Test.
It is reported that Ramnaresh Sarwan damaged a ligament whilst fielding and was then unable to bat in his team the West Indies' first innings.
Ramnaresh Sarwan, 26, said: "We will sit down after this Test match and make a decision about my further involvement in the series."
Daren Ganga, the official vice-captain, is standing by to deputise.
Ramnaresh Sarwan has had past problems in his career as a cricketer due to injuries and he said: "When I fell I heard a crackling sound but I am happy that there is no fracture.
"I did sustain some damage to the ligaments but at this stage we do not know how long it will take to heal.
"It is obviously disappointing to be injured so regularly but I will have to overcome this injury as I have overcome all my previous injuries."
