Veteran cricketer Stuart Law to be new Lancashire skipper
Cricket veteran Stuart Law has been announced as the new skipper of the Lancashire team.
Australian-born batsman Stuart Law, 39, takes over from Mark Chilton, who left Lancashire last month after three seasons in charge of the club.
Stuart Law has had plenty of experience and success as a captain during his career, and he actually guided Queensland to seven trophies between 1995 and 2002.
Stuart Law, who is now a British citizen, recently signed a new one-year deal with Lancashire and his top priority for next season will be an attempt to win the County Championship.
Lancashire came in third place this summer but Stuart Law said: "I think there's been years when we've been the best cricket team in the competition and not managed to get over the line.
"It is the holy grail but if you win a championship you deserve to win it by being consistently good over six months."
