Streaker gets Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds in trouble
Australian all round cricketer Andrew Symonds could be facing discipline after he floored a streaker during the one-day international match against India on Tuesday.
Andrew Symonds was at the non-striker's end at the time and it was Australia's innings when the streaker got past the security and ran onto the field, but Andrew Symonds decided to take the matter into his own hands and he knocked the man over by charging into him
However, the players' code of conduct does not allow physical assault of a rival player, an official or spectator, and the punishment for such an offence is a ban, that can range from five Tests or 10 one-day internationals, right up to being suspended for life.
The streaker was taken away from the pitch by police, and now faces a fine of up to £1,400 for the pitch invasion. The man is also expected to be charged with wilful exposure by the state police in Queensland.
