South Africa cricketer Shaun Pollock retires
South African cricketer Shaun Pollock has announced his retirement from international cricket on Sunday.
Shaun Pollock, 34, ended well when he scored the winning runs in his final cricket match - his team South Africa defeated the West Indies by eight wickets to be the winners of the one-day series 5-0.
Shaun Pollock is reported to have said: "It's been a fantastic journey for me but retiring is all good. I have real peace about it. It's been a great profession to have for the last 12 years and I would do it all again. It's ended just perfectly."
Shaun Pollock is going out while he is on top and he was also named joint man of the series along with South African batsman JP Duminy.
Shaun Pollock ended his last game on 10 not out but he added: "It's been an emotional rollercoaster and I feel drained and tired for the first time in my career."
