Post-mortem on cricket coach Bob Woolmer inconclusive
The post-mortem on recently deceased Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer proved inconclusive and Jamaican police are still unable to say why he died. They are continuing to treat the case as "suspicious" and are seeking further test results.
A Jamaican police spokesman said that they had now decided to "seek the opinion of a second pathologist".
Bob Woolmer, 58, had been discovered in an unconscious state at his Kingston hotel last Sunday and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Mark Shields, the deputy police commissioner, when asked on Wednesday if Bob Woolmer had been murdered, replied: "No, we're not saying that."
And on the possibility of suicide, Mark Shields added that it would be "inappropriate to comment further at this time."
Police spokesman Karl Angell said they still hadn't seen the final report by the pathologist because the person who conducted the post-mortem was still waiting for the result of toxicology and histology tests.
