Lancashire sign Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Yousuf
Lancashire county cricket club have signed Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf to act as a substitute player for Brad Hodge who will be away taking part in the Indian Premier League.
Yousuf is said to be making his first appearance with Lancashire in the Friends Provident Trophy match against Durham Dynamos at Old Trafford.
A proud to have been taken on to join the team, Mohammad Yousuf explained: "I've always wanted to play county cricket, and to get the opportunity with a club as big as Lancashire is fantastic. I'm determined to make a significant contribution to Lancashire's season."
In his past career, Yousuf, who scored the most Test runs in a calendar year, has a very impressive record having also scored almost 16,000 in 79 Tests and 261 one-day international matches.
Yousuf has, however, only joined Lancashire on a short-term basis whilst Brad Hodge is fulfilling a five-week contract with Kolkata Knight Riders.
