Jamaican pathologist maintains that Bob Woolmer was murdered
Dr Ere Shesiah, who is the Jamaican government pathologist who carried out Bob Woolmer's autopsy is still claiming that the Pakistan cricket coach was murdered.
Bob Woolmer's death earlier this year sparked a worldwide murder investigation and speculation over corruption and match-fixing in the sport, however, the probe was abandoned after it was claimed by three other pathologists that Bob Woolmer died of natural causes.
Bob Woolmer, 58, died after being found unconscious in his hotel room in March.
Dr Ere Shesiah was speaking at Bob Woolmer's inquest, which opened in Jamaica nine days ago and he said that his opinion was based on his original findings and the results of a toxicology report.
Dr Ere Shesiah said: "I stand by my findings that Mr Woolmer was strangled and, based upon additional information which I received, he was also poisoned."
Dr Ere Shesiah said that he had identified the poison used, which was cypermethrin that causes "salivation, vomiting, diarrhoea and muscular incoordination."
