India cricket board select new coach
India's cricket board is selecting the team's new coach and will be making the announcement shortly as to whom they have picked.
A selection panel of former cricketers and officials are due to reach a final decision in a meeting on Monday and Australian Dav Whatmore is a likely candidate to be chosen.
Former South African and current Kent coach Graham Ford and former Indian batsman Gundappa Viswanath are also said to be in with a good chance.
Dav Whatmore left his post as Bangladesh cricket coach on 29 May, but he had become famous in the sport when he was Sri Lanka coach in the 1990s. Dav Whatmore guided Sri Lanka to winning the World Cup in 1996.
The Hindustan Times newspaper reported that cricket board official Niranjan Shah had claimed that: "Whatmore has a very bright chance" of becoming the new coach.
Graham Ford, who was South Africa's cricket coach from 1999 to 2001 has a good chance too, according to other sources.
India have been looking for a new coach following Greg Chappell's departure.
