Faisal Iqbal replaces Inzamam-ul-Haq for Pakistan
Faisal Iqbal has been invited into Pakistan's cricket team for the ICC Champions Trophy as a replacement for banned captain Inzamam-ul-Haq , who was suspended for four games for bringing the game into disrepute.
Faisal Iqbal, 24, and nephew of former captain Javed Miandad has not played for the one-day side for three years.
With Faisal Iqbal replacing Inzamam-ul-Haq, he would now be unable to return for the final should Pakistan make it through.
Inzamam-ul-Haq was charged after Pakistan failed to return to the field after the tea break during the fourth Test against England at The Oval in August.
The Pakistan team were protesting at a five-run penalty awarded against them for ball tampering - an allegation rejected last week by Ranjan Madugalle, the adjudicator at Inzamam's disciplinary hearing.
Coach Bob Woolmer said: "Losing Inzamam is a big setback as he is such an experienced player and top-class batsman."
