England cricket captain Michael Vaughan injured
England cricket captain Michael Vaughan has to miss out on the one-day international against Australia in Brisbane on Friday due to an injury, which is described as a grade one torn left hamstring.
Michael Vaughan, 32, suffered the injury in England's victory over New Zealand but just received the results of a scan he had in Hobart on Wednesday and it is now unclear how long he will be away from the action.
Batsman Mal Loye has been called up into the England team as a cover for Michael Vaughan.
Michael Vaughan sustained the injury after running and turning sharply during New Zealand's innings and he was playing only his second one-day international after having an operation on his right knee.
Michael Vaughan had been forced to return home early from the winter tours of Pakistan and India in 2005/6 as well.
