Durham worry they may lose bowler Ottis Gibson
Durham county cricket club are worried that they may lose their star bowler Ottis Gibson if he is offered the full-time job as coach of England's bowlers and he accepts it.
Ottis Gibson, 38, is currently with the England cricket team on a temporary basis in Sri Lanka, but Allan Donald, who was coach last summer, has said he does not want the job again.
The England and Wales Cricket Board are going to talk over the post with Ottis Gibson at Christmas, before the tour goes to New Zealand.
Ottis Gibson won a number of awards after he took 80 Championship wickets in the same season - including 10 in a single innings - and he made 723 runs across all the matches played. With his very impressive performance record it is easy to understand why they don't want to lose him.
