Cricketer Mohammad Yousuf to play for Pakistan again
Cricketer Mohammad Yousuf has changed his mind about moving to play for the rebel Indian cricket league and is available again to be a batsman for Pakistan.
Mohammad Yousuf, 33, who scored an impressive nine Test centuries last year, had been all ready to join the Indian breakaway Twenty20 league.
Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Nasim Ashraf explained: "We had a fruitful meeting and Yousuf has signed a central contract with the PCB."
Mohammad Yousuf may be playing in Monday's first Test with South Africa, although Shahid Afridi has withdrawn for religious reasons, claiming he did not want to take part whilst fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.
Mohammad Yousuf's international cricket career had been in doubt when he agreed to join the Indian Twenty20 league but now he is back playing for Pakistan and he said: "There was some misunderstanding between me and the board that has now been cleared up."
