Cricket skipper Michael Vaughan says England must improve
England's cricket captain Michael Vaughan has said his team must improve after they drew with New Zealand in the first Test.
New Zealand had been clearly having problems at times but England nevertheless failed to have what was needed to beat them.
Vaughan explained: "We knew we'd have to hold our chances, we created a few opportunities but weren't quite good enough. But there were lots of good things and if we improve a little bit more then the next Test should be good."
England had a good chance come their way when New Zealand batsman Brendon McCullum retired due to injury with his team's score not far ahead, and Michael Vaughan added: "That was the moment where we created the chance to go on and win the game but it didn't go quite to hand."
