Cricket coach Tom Moody's future undecided yet
Former Australia cricketer and current coach for Sri Lanka Tom Moody's future career will not be announced until after the World Cup is over, it has been reported.
Tom Moody's name has been strongly linked with the role of coach for Western Australia and a Western Australia Cricket Association (Waca) statement said: "Since Wayne Clark announced his retirement at the beginning of this year the Waca has made it clear Tom is the preferred candidate to take over."
The Waca statement, concerning Tom Moody, 41, nevertheless continued: "However, no agreement has been reached with him at this point in time."
And the Waca statement also points out: "The Waca respects that Tom has an important task over the next month as he leads Sri Lanka towards the climax of the World Cup in the West Indies.
"As such, the Waca will not be progressing its discussions with him until such time as his commitments at the World Cup have concluded."
Tom Moody has also been linked with becoming coach for England, if Duncan Fletcher retires after the World Cup, however, Tom Moody is reported to have scotched this rumour by saying: "There has been speculation about this, that and the other but at the end of the day I haven't looked at anything."
