Brian Lara considers a return to cricket
Former West Indies cricketer Brian Lara says he is considering making a comeback within six months of retiring from international cricket.
Brian Lara, 38, said: "I think I am going to play cricket again. If I go six or eight months without cricket I would lose it and I don't want to lose it yet."
But according to Wisden Cricketer magazine Brian Lara indicated that although he may be playing cricket once more, it wouldn't be on the international scene.
Brian Lara said he left West Indies cricket on his own terms and said: "I leave West Indies cricket with my head held high."
Brian Lara had announced his retirement before West Indies' final game of a disappointing World Cup but he left open the possibility of carrying on as a player, away from international cricket.
"We needed a new direction, someone who was willing to see some sort of change," Brian Lara is reported to have told Wisden Cricketer.
