Rally driver Colin McRae replaces Sebastien Loeb in Turkey
Rally racing driver Colin McRae will be making his comeback in Turkey when he replaces the injured champion Sebastien Loeb.
Kronos Citroen driver Sebastien Loeb, who was on the verge of a third straight WRC title, broke his arm whilst cycling and has had to withdraw from the 13-15 October event.
French newspaper L'Equipe reports that Sebastien Loeb says he is unsure when he will be able to return to the track.
Colin McRae, 38, the 1995 world champion, was Sebastien Loeb's team-mate at Citroen in 2003 but lost his drive at the end of that year and his last WRC appearance came at the end of 2005 with Skoda, when he took part in two events.
Long-time co-driver Nicky Grist of Wales will partner Colin McRae after parting company in 2002 following several successful seasons together. Colin McRae said their relationship had become "strained" at the time.
