World Superbike champ James Toseland wins again
Motor bike rider and world Superbike champion James Toseland defeated Noriyuki Haga by just two points to win his second Superbikes crown.
Sheffield's James Toseland who has been riding for Ten Kate Honda is reported to have said: "To win the title once was a lifetime ambition but to win it again, on a different bike, was really humbling."
James Toseland switched to the Ten Kate Honda racing team last year, replacing Chris Vermeulen and he won the season-opener in Qatar, as well as finishing second in the championship behind Troy Bayliss.
James Toseland had also won the 2004 title on a Ducati, and now after claiming this year's crown on a Honda, will ride in MotoGP next year for the Suzuki team.
James Toseland wanted to leave the Superbike arena on a high note so was delighted with his victory.
James Toseland explained: "I did the deal (to move to MotoGP) when I came back from the Suzuka Eight hour race at the end of July, before Brands."
