Motorcyclist Troy Bayliss still winning without a finger
Motorcycle racing champion Troy Bayliss was still a winner in Valencia despite having had most of his little finger amputated.
Troy Bayliss, who rides for Ducati, beat Ruben Xaus who came second and James Toseland was in third place.
Troy Bayliss commented: "On the race tyre it's as good as we've ever done and I'm happy, considering I'm not in the best of shape."
Troy Bayliss, who was born at Taree, New South Wales, Australia, and has twice won the World Superbike championship, as well as the British Superbike series, recently trapped his finger under his handlebars in a crash during the European Grand Prix at Donington and had to have immediate surgery in which doctors decided to amputate the finger.
Troy Bayliss added: "It's a little bit awkward with my hand but it's not actually affecting me - my riding style is exactly the same."
