Toro Rosso to keep Italian F1 driver Vitantonio Liuzzi
Toro Rosso racing team have decided to keep Italian Formula One driver Vitantonio Liuzzi for the rest of this season but they haven't made a firm decision on Scott Speed from America.
Born in Locorotondo, Italy, Vitantonio Liuzzi is a Formula One driver, who is currently driving for Scuderia Toro Rosso and has an impressive track record behind him and in 2001 he beat Michael Schumacher in Kerpen on the German legend's home track.
Toro Rosso co-owner Gerhard Berger said that Scott Speed was on pole position for the second drive at the Ferrari-powered team but nothing was otherwise confirmed.
However, with regard to Vitantonio Liuzzi, Gerhard Berger said: "Everything is fine with Tonio, he's in the car and will drive."
"With Scott we still have some contractual issues to sort out. We are going to see later," Gerhard Berger explained about Scott Speed.
